K-8 Technlogy Learning Objectives
"What technology skills will my child learn in school?"
To answer this question, the district has developed a comprehensive, color-coded "road map" that illustrates the specific technology skills being imparted to students as they progress through their career at Northfield Community School. Our K-8 Technology Learning Objectives were created based upon relevant research and guidelines from the New Jersey State Department of Education, as well as the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Tied directly to the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Technological Literacy, these objectives are fulfilled via instruction that occurs throughout the school – in regular classrooms, traditional computer labs, mobile computer labs, and the media center.
